Typeform
Setup guide
Follow our setup guide to connect Typeform to Improvado.
Click the Connections in the left navigation bar.
Categories on the Data sources page group all available platforms. Use a search to find the required one.
Click on the Typeform tile.
Enter a Connection Name of your choice, then click Authorize. Improvado never sees your Typeform password — you sign in on Typeform’s own page.
You are redirected to Typeform. Sign in to the account that owns the forms you want to extract. If you are already signed in, Typeform goes straight to the consent screen.
Review the access Improvado requests and click Authorize. Typeform lists these as — view account details, manage your forms, view form responses, view workspaces, and access your data while you are offline. See Limits for what each of these does and does not allow.
After approval you are redirected back to Improvado automatically.
The Typeform connection appears in your Connected sources list.
When the connection status is Active, and the account status column shows a number of accounts, you can move on to data extraction.
To extract data from the connected sources, check the instruction on how to set up data extraction.
Schema information
The schema information shows all report types you can use to extract data from Typeform.
Limits
What Improvado can and cannot do in your Typeform account. The connection requests permission to read your account details, forms, responses and workspaces, and to create and update forms. Improvado does not request permission to delete responses — in Typeform’s permission model that is a separate access right, and Improvado does not ask for it. Your response data cannot be removed through this connection. The exact permission names are listed in Typeform’s OAuth scopes documentation.
Access renews automatically. Typeform access tokens expire one week after they are issued. Improvado refreshes them for you, so no action is needed — unless someone revokes Improvado’s access from the Typeform account, in which case reconnect from the Connections page.
Responses are extracted per form. Improvado lists your forms first and then collects responses for each of them, so extraction time grows with the number of forms in the account rather than only with the number of responses.
Answers are delivered as structured JSON. A Typeform answer can be text, a choice, multiple choices, an email, a number, a date or a file link, and hidden fields and variables differ from form to form. Those columns are delivered as JSON so that a form built any way still lands in the same table shape.
Themes, images and webhooks are not extracted. The connection covers forms, responses and workspaces.
Release notes
Typeform publishes API changes on its developer changelog. Improvado tracks that page and updates the connector when Typeform changes an endpoint.
