Spotify Organic - Troubleshooting
Most Spotify Organic issues come from the Spotify app the connection uses: the subscription of its owner, the users it allows and its redirect URIs.
Spotify refuses access (403)
Spotify answers 403 with Active premium subscription required for the owner of the app when the account that owns your Spotify app has no active Spotify Premium subscription. Subscribe that account to Premium and reconnect.
Spotify also answers 403 when the account you signed in with neither owns the app nor is added under User Management: an app in Development Mode accepts only these accounts, up to five. Add the account in the app settings in the Spotify Developer Dashboard, or sign in with the app owner, and reconnect.
Spotify shows Invalid redirect URI
The Improvado redirect URI is not registered in your Spotify app. Add all three Improvado redirect URIs to the app settings exactly as listed in the setup guide, including https:// and the trailing slash, save, and connect again. If Spotify accepts the sign-in and the connection still fails, check that the Client ID and Client Secret come from the same app.
The token refresh failed
Spotify no longer accepts the authorization of the connection, for example after the Client Secret of the app was reset, access was removed in Spotify, or the authorization expired. Reconnect with the current Client ID and Client Secret of the app.
