SendGrid
Description
Twilio SendGrid is a cloud email delivery platform that businesses use to send transactional and marketing email.
Setup guide
Follow this setup guide to connect SendGrid to Improvado.
Click the Connections in the left navigation bar.
Categories on the Data sources page group all available platforms. Use a search to find the required one.
Click on the SendGrid tile.
In a separate tab, sign in to SendGrid and open Settings > API Keys. Click Create API Key and enter a name for the key. Choose Full Access, or Custom Access with Read Access to Stats, Subusers and User Account. Click Create & View and copy the key. See the official SendGrid guide for details.
- SendGrid displays the API key only once, when it is created. Copy it before closing the page.
Back in Improvado, fill in the connection form:
- API Key - the key from Step 3.
- Data region - leave Global. Select EU only if the key belongs to a SendGrid subuser set up for EU data residency.
Click Connect. After the connection process is completed successfully, the SendGrid connection will appear in your Connected sources list.
When the connection status is Active, and the account status column shows a number of accounts, you can move on to data extraction. The connection lists your SendGrid account, and each of its subusers as a separate account when the key can read subusers.
To extract data from the connected source, follow the instructions on how to set up data extraction.
Schema information
The schema information shows all report types you can use to extract data from SendGrid.
Limits
- Global Email Statistics can be extracted by day, week or month: choose the Time Granularity when you set up the extraction. Weekly and monthly rows are dated by the first day of the week or month.
- SendGrid keeps statistics for the last three years, so historical data cannot be loaded further back.
Release notes
You can find information about the latest API changes in the official Twilio changelog.
