Sam's Club - Troubleshooting
Sam's Club data can look late or inconsistent for reasons that are expected rather than a sign of a broken connection. The cases below are the ones we see most often.
Yesterday's data is missing
Sam's Club publishes a day's performance data at 10 AM PST, about ten hours after that day closes in Pacific time. Improvado never requests a date the platform has not published yet, so an extraction that runs before 10 AM PST ends two days back, and one that runs after it ends one day back.
An extract scheduled for the early morning will therefore show no rows for yesterday. The next run picks that day up, so no action is needed — and re-running the extract sooner will not make the data arrive earlier. If you want the shortest possible delay, schedule the extract after 10 AM PST.
Item IDs changed, and older dates still show the old ones
Sam's Club replaced its legacy item identifiers with US Item IDs on September 21,
2026. The new IDs are 10–11 digit numbers and they are not derived from the
old ones: prod23602570 did not become 23602570. Only Sam's Club can map
a legacy ID to its new one, through the per-advertiser mapping file it provides or the Catalog
Item Search API.
Sam's Club also returns whatever ID family was current on the date being reported. A date from before the cutover still comes back with legacy IDs, however long ago your advertiser migrated, so re-extracting history does not convert it. One item will therefore appear under two different IDs in any range that spans September 21, 2026. Joining the two halves into a single series needs the vendor's mapping file — raise a Service Desk request if you would like help with it.
A newly authorized advertiser is not in the account list
Sam's Club has no endpoint that lists the advertisers a partner can reach, so Improvado keeps that list on its own side. Granting Improvado access in Universal Accounts, or being approved through the onboarding form, is only the first half of the setup: the Advertiser ID and account name still have to reach us through a Service Desk request before the advertiser can appear in your connection.
Once we have added it, the advertiser shows up in the account list of your Sam's Club connection on the Connections page, and you can include it in an extraction.
