Opsgenie
Description
Opsgenie is Atlassian's incident-management platform for alerting, on-call scheduling, and incident response.
Setup guide
Follow this setup guide to connect Opsgenie to Improvado.
Generate an Opsgenie API key (GenieKey):
Sign in to your Opsgenie account as an account owner or admin and open Settings → API key management.
Click Add new API key, give it a name, select Read and Configuration access, and save. The Create/Update and Delete rights are not needed. Do not use the API key of a team integration: it only reaches that team's alerts and incidents and cannot read the account. See Opsgenie's API key management guide for details.
Copy the generated API key.
Back in Improvado, fill in the connection form:
- API Key — paste the GenieKey API key you copied from Opsgenie.
- Instance region — leave US unless your Opsgenie account is hosted in the EU (its URL is app.eu.opsgenie.com); in that case choose EU.
Click Connect. After the connection completes successfully, the Opsgenie connection appears in your Connected sources list.
When the connection status is Active and the account status column shows your account, you can move on to data extraction.
To extract data from the connected source, follow the instructions on how to set up data extraction.
Schema information
The schema information shows all report types you can use to extract data from Opsgenie.
Limits
Incidents and Services need a Standard or Enterprise plan. Opsgenie offers the Incident and Service APIs only on these plans; on other plans these reports fail, while Alerts and Teams still work.
One connection per Opsgenie account. Connecting a new API key for the same Opsgenie account in a workspace replaces the previous key in the existing connection.
Release notes
You can find information about the latest API changes in Opsgenie's official API documentation.
