Linear
Description
Linear is an issue tracking and project planning tool for product and engineering teams. It organizes work as issues that belong to teams, projects and cycles, each carrying a workflow state, an assignee, labels and a priority.
Connecting Linear to Improvado brings that delivery data into the same warehouse as your marketing, product and revenue sources, so you can report on what was shipped alongside the outcomes it produced.
Authorization
Linear connects over OAuth. You are redirected to Linear to approve access, so Improvado never sees or stores your Linear password or personal API key.
Sign in with an account that can see every team you want to extract: Improvado can only read the teams that account has access to.
Setup guide
Follow our setup guide to connect Linear to Improvado.
Click the Connections in the left navigation bar.
Categories on the Data sources page group all available platforms. Use a search to find the required one.
Click on the Linear tile.
Enter a Connection Name of your choice, then click Authorize.
You are redirected to Linear. Sign in with an account that has access to the workspace you want to extract, review the requested access, and confirm.
After the connection is completed, the Linear connection will appear in your Connected sources list.
When the connection status is Active, and the account status column shows a number of accounts, you can move on to data extraction. Each Linear team appears as a separate account you can select during extraction.
To extract data from the connected sources, check the instruction on how to set up data extraction.
Schema information
The schema information shows all report types you can use to extract data from Linear.
Limits
Improvado requests read and write access to your Linear workspace. Read access powers data extraction; write access lets the Improvado AI Agent create and update issues and comments when you ask it to. Improvado never writes to Linear on its own.
Improvado does not request administrator access, so it cannot change your workspace or team settings. As a result, cycle data and issue estimates are only available for teams that already have cycles and estimates enabled in Linear.
You can revoke Improvado's access at any time from your Linear workspace settings.
Release notes
Linear publishes product and API updates in its official changelog.
