How to configure a pre-filter for extraction

Updated on Jun 30, 2025

Overview

The pre-filter extraction feature allows you to specify filtering parameters for data sources where the API supports this functionality.

Our currently supported data sources include Google Analytics 4, Google Campaign Manager 360 (by Advertiser), with more to come.

How to setup filter configuration

To configure a pre-filter:

  1. Go to the Extraction Flow and proceed to Step 3
Please note that pre-filter configuration is only supported for Custom (Wide) reports.
  2. Open the Advanced Settings section:
__wf_reserved_inherit
  1. Click Add filter configuration to open the input field where you can enter your filter:
__wf_reserved_inherit
__wf_reserved_inherit

Please note that you can also remove the filter configuration by clicking Delete configuration.

For existing orders, filters can also be updated:

  • For a single extraction order in the extraction order details page - Settings tab
  • For multiple orders at once via Bulk Edit

How to create filters

You have a few options for creating a filter:

  • Use the API documentation link provided in the interface to follow the correct filter format
  • Write your own filter using the documentation as a reference
  • Ask an AI assistant (like ChatGPT) to help generate the filter. Check the video below for more details:

Future plans

We plan to simplify the configuration process through integration with an AI Agent:

  • Users will be able to request filter creation using natural language
  • The AI will automatically generate the appropriate filter configuration
