Grafana OnCall is an on-call management and incident response platform built into Grafana. It helps DevOps and SRE teams manage alerts, coordinate on-call schedules, and streamline incident workflows through integrations with popular monitoring tools.
Follow our setup guide to connect Grafana OnCall to Improvado.
Step 1. Click the Make a new Connection on the Connections page.
Categories on the Data sources page group all available platforms. Use a search to find the required one.
Step 2. Click on the Grafana OnCall tile.
Step 3. Authorize your Grafana OnCall account by filling in the required fields:
OnCall API URL — The URL of your Grafana OnCall API endpoint. For Grafana Cloud, this looks like oncall-prod-us-central-0.grafana.net/oncall.
API Key / Service Account Token — Your OnCall API key or a Grafana Cloud service account token with OnCall read permissions.
Note: To generate an API key, go to Grafana OnCall → Settings → Users, click your user, open the API key tab, and click Create API key. You can also refer to the official Grafana OnCall API documentation.
Grafana Stack URL (optional) — Required only when using a Grafana Cloud service account token (e.g., https://myorg.grafana.net).
Step 4. After completing the connection process, the Grafana OnCall connection will appear in your Connected sources list.
Step 5. When the connection status is Active, and the account status column shows a number of accounts, you can move on to data extraction.
Step 6. To extract data from the connected sources, check the instructions on how to set up data extraction.
The schema information shows all report types you can use to extract data from Grafana OnCall.
You can find information about the latest API changes in the official Grafana OnCall documentation.
