Google Gmail is one of the world's most widely used email services, part of the Google Workspace suite. It provides powerful email management with features like labels, threads, filters, and search capabilities.
Follow our setup guide to connect Google Gmail to Improvado.
Step 1. Click the Make a new Connection on the Connections page.
Categories on the Data sources page group all available platforms. Use a search to find the required one.
Step 2. Click on the Google Gmail tile.
Step 3. Click Sign in with Google to authorize your Gmail account.
You will be redirected to the Google OAuth consent screen. Make sure to sign in with the Google account whose Gmail data you want to extract.
Step 3.1. Select the Google account you want to connect.
Step 3.2. Review the requested permissions and click Allow. The following permissions are required:
Step 3.3. After granting access, you will be redirected back to Improvado.
Note: If you do not want other users in your workspace to access this connection via API Discovery, check the Private connection option during setup.
Step 4. After the connection process is completed successfully, the Google Gmail connection will appear in your Connected sources list.
Step 5. When the connection status is Active, and the account status column shows a number of accounts, you can move on to data extraction.
Step 6. To extract data from the connected sources, check the instruction on how to set up data extraction.
