BigCommerce
Description
BigCommerce is an ecommerce platform for businesses that manage online storefronts, product catalogs, orders and customer accounts.
Setup guide
In your BigCommerce store control panel, open Settings → Store-level API accounts → Create API Account. Select V2/V3 API token as the token type and give the account a recognizable name.
Set these four OAuth scopes to Read-only:
- Information & Settings: required to verify the connection and identify the store.
- Orders: read order data.
- Products: read product catalog data.
- Customers: read customer records.
Save the API account and download its credentials. Copy the Access Token and note the API Path. Store the downloaded file securely.
Find your Store Hash in the API Path: it is the value immediately after /stores/. For a synthetic API Path ending in /stores/example123/v3/, enter only example123. Do not enter the full URL or your storefront domain.
In the authorization form, choose Store-level API Token. Enter the Store Hash and Access Token from the same store, then connect. You do not need to enter a Client ID or Client Secret.
Confirm that the connection is active and shows the expected store. Select Orders, Products or Customers and set up data extraction. Create a separate connection for each store using that store's own API account.
Schema information
The data dictionary lists the report types and fields supported by the BigCommerce connector.
Limits
Historical and routine loads. Historical loads of Products and Customers fetch all current records in the store, regardless of the selected modification-date range. Routine loads fetch records modified within the selected period. These full loads contain the current catalog and customer records, not past versions of those records.
Personal fields. Personal-data fields in Orders and Customers, including contact information, billing details, IP addresses and notes, are optional and not selected by default. Select the fields you need when configuring extraction.
- Orders contains order header data, without order line items.
- Products contains catalog metadata, excluding stock, counters, variants and media expansions.
- Customers contains base customer records, without addresses or other expansions.
- Store-level API scopes cannot be changed after the account is created. If a scope is missing, create a new API account with all four required Read-only scopes and reconnect using its Access Token.
