Vercel

Description

Vercel is a cloud platform for deploying and hosting frontend applications, giving teams a Git-connected workflow for building, previewing, and shipping web projects.

Setup guide

Follow this setup guide to connect Vercel to Improvado.

In Vercel, open the Account Tokens page and create a token:

  • Token name - any name, for example Improvado.
  • Scope - Full Account to extract every team you belong to, or a team with All Projects to extract only that team. A token scoped to a single project does not work with this connection.
  • Expiration - the connection stops working when the token expires.

Copy the token right away: Vercel shows it only once. Read more in the Vercel guide to access tokens.

Back in Improvado, paste the token into the API Access Token field and authorize the connection.

After the connection process is completed successfully, the Vercel connection will appear in your Connected sources list.

When the connection status is Active, and the account status column shows a number of accounts, you can move on to data extraction. Each account is a Vercel team the token can read.

To extract data from the connected source, follow the instructions on how to set up data extraction.

Schema information

The schema information shows all report types you can use to extract data from Vercel.

Limits

Teams the token cannot read are not listed. A team becomes an account only when the token can read it. A token scoped to another team, a team that requires two-factor authentication you have not enabled, or a team that invalidated older tokens leaves that team out. Once the token can read the team, it appears with the next accounts update.

One connection per Vercel user. Tokens of the same Vercel user share one connection in a workspace: connecting a new token replaces the previous one. To extract several teams, use one Full Account token.

Token expiration. When the token expires, extractions stop. Create a new token in Vercel and reconnect with it.

Release notes

Vercel announces API changes in its changelog.
