Clay
Description
Clay is a go-to-market platform where revenue teams build and enrich lead lists, run research workflows, and keep account and contact data current. Improvado connects to your Clay workspace through the Clay Public API using an API key you create in Clay, so your go-to-market data can land in your data warehouse alongside your CRM, ad spend, and web analytics.
- Clay datasets are being rolled out. If you need specific Clay data, contact your Customer Success Manager or support@improvado.io to request it.
Setup guide
Follow this setup guide to connect Clay to Improvado.
Click the Connections in the left navigation bar.
Categories on the Data sources page group all available platforms. Use a search to find the required one.
Click on the Clay tile.
Get your Clay API key:
Sign in to your Clay account.
Open Settings → Account → API keys.
Create a new API key, then copy it. Step-by-step instructions are available in the official Clay guide.
Back in Improvado, fill in the connection form:
- API Key — paste the API key you copied from Clay.
- A Clay API key belongs to a single Clay workspace. To report on more than one workspace, create an API key in each of them and add a separate connection for each key.
Click Connect. After the connection completes successfully, the Clay connection appears in your Connected sources list.
When the connection status is Active, you can move on to data extraction.
To extract data from the connected source, follow the instructions on how to set up data extraction.
