Description
Bitly is a link-management platform for creating, sharing, and tracking short branded links and QR Codes. Improvado extracts your bitlinks and their click analytics — including breakdowns by country, city, device, referrer, and referring domain — so you can measure short-link performance alongside the rest of your marketing data.
Setup guide
Follow our setup guide to connect Bitly to Improvado.
Click Data Sources in the left navigation bar. Categories on the Data sources page group all available platforms — use the search to find the one you need.
Click on the Bitly tile.
Authorize your Bitly account using your API Key — a Bitly generic access token. Generate it as follows:
Log in to Bitly and open Settings → API.
Under Access token, enter your Bitly account password and click Generate token.
Copy the generated token and paste it into the Improvado API Key field. See the Bitly authentication guide for details.
After the connection is completed, the Bitly connection will appear in your Connected sources list.
When the connection status is Active and the account status column shows a number of accounts, you can move on to data extraction.
To extract data from the connected source, follow the instructions on how to set up data extraction.

The schema information shows all report types you can use to extract data from Bitly.
