New report type Similarweb Rolled out

A new Rank Tracker Keywords report delivers the keyword level behind Similarweb's Rank Tracker — position and position change for every tracked keyword, plus the search volume, CPC, difficulty and SERP features the existing Rank Tracker report does not carry.

What to do
No action required. To use it, run the Campaigns Entity report once so the Campaigns setting is populated, then add Rank Tracker Keywords to an extraction and select the campaigns you need.

Improvado now offers Rank Tracker Keywords on the Similarweb connector, alongside the Rank Tracker report released earlier. Where that report gives one row per day per tracked site, this one goes a level deeper: one row per keyword, for every site a campaign tracks and every scraping configuration it runs.

What you get

  • Position and position change for each keyword the campaign tracks, per tracked site — your own domain and each competitor configured on the campaign.
  • Search volume, CPC and keyword difficulty — the keyword figures the Rank Tracker report does not carry. These are what the Domains view in Similarweb totals per domain, so you can rebuild that table in your own BI tool: the keyword count is the number of keywords where a site has a position, and the volume is the sum across those keywords.
  • Search intent, tags and SERP features, both the features present on the result page and those your site occupies.
  • The full campaign context on every row — campaign, site, search engine, location, device and language — so Desktop and Mobile, or one country and another, stay separable rather than blended.

Turning it on

Run the Campaigns Entity report once. It is free and it populates the Campaigns setting. Then add Rank Tracker Keywords to an extraction and pick the campaigns you want. Leaving the setting empty extracts every campaign the API key can see.

Two things to know before a wide extraction

  • Only sites configured on the campaign can be extracted. The report returns the campaign's own domain and the competitors set on that campaign in Similarweb. A domain that is not configured cannot be requested — if you need a competitor in this report, add it to the campaign in Similarweb first, and it will appear from the next extraction onward.
  • Similarweb bills this report in data credits. One credit per campaign, per scraping configuration, per tracked site, per requested period, per page of 1000 keywords. A campaign with two configurations and three tracked sites costs six credits per period, so start with the campaigns you actually report on and a short history, then widen once you can see the consumption.
