What to do
No action required. To start receiving the data, extract the Campaigns Entity report once to populate the Campaigns list, then add the Rank Tracker report and select the campaigns you want. Existing Similarweb reports and connections are unaffected, and no new credentials are needed.

Similarweb's Rank Tracker measures where your site ranks in search against the competitors you track, and until now none of it reached Improvado. The existing Keywords report reads Similarweb's search dataset, which has no notion of which domain ranks where — its data is organised by keyword and country, with no domain to group by and no position metrics at all. Rank Tracker is a separate Similarweb product with its own data, and it now has its own report.

What you get

One row per date, per tracked site, per scraping configuration, carrying four metrics:

  • Weighted average position — the domain's average organic position across the campaign's keywords, weighted by search volume
  • Visibility — the share of the tracked SERPs where the domain is visible
  • Clicks — clicks estimated from volume, position and a click-through curve
  • Share of voice

Competitors are included, not just your own domain: every site a campaign tracks becomes its own set of rows, so a competitive ranking table is a straight group-by rather than a manual join. Each row also carries the campaign, the search engine, the location, the device and the language it was measured under, so mobile and desktop or UK and US results stay separable.

Choosing what to extract

Campaigns are selected in a Campaigns setting on the report. The list is populated by a companion Campaigns Entity report, so extract that one first — it is free and takes a single request. Leaving the selection empty extracts every campaign the API key can see.

The report supports daily, weekly and monthly granularity. Weekly buckets start on Monday and monthly buckets on the first of the month; Improvado requests each period from Similarweb directly rather than aggregating days, so the numbers match what you see in the Similarweb interface.

What it costs

Similarweb charges one data credit per request, and Improvado makes one request per campaign, per scraping configuration, per tracked site and per period requested. A campaign with two scraping configurations and one competitor, pulled monthly over a year, costs roughly a few dozen credits. Selecting only the campaigns you report on is the lever that keeps this small — extracting every campaign on a large account multiplies the request count accordingly.

Requirements and scope

  • Rank Tracker campaigns must already be set up in Similarweb — Improvado reads them, it does not create them.
  • History reaches back to the date each campaign was created, and Improvado clamps every request to what the campaign can actually answer.
  • Keyword-level Rank Tracker data — per-keyword positions and the keyword snapshot table — is not part of this report.
