Two new fields, Slot Positions and Targets User Day Parts JSON, are available on the Spotify Ads Adsets Entity report. They show which slot positions an ad set allows and its day-parting schedule.
- Updated
- October 8, 2026
- Affected
- Adsets Entity
- What to do
- No action required. Add the new fields to an Adsets Entity extraction to start collecting them. They stay empty for ad sets that do not use slot positions or day-parting.
Spotify added two ad set settings to its Ads API: allowed slot positions and day-parting targeting. Improvado now ingests both, so they are available on the Adsets Entity report.
The new fields
-
Slot Positions: the slot positions allowed for the ad set's ads, as a JSON
list. Possible values are
PRE_ROLL,MID_ROLL,POST_ROLLandCREATOR_SPONSORSHIP. - Targets User Day Parts JSON: the ad set's day-parting schedule in the Spotify user's time zone, as JSON: days of the week with hour ranges (0-23, inclusive).
Expect empty values for many ad sets
Spotify returns these settings only when they are set on the ad set. For ad sets without slot position limits or day-parting, the columns stay empty. That is the API behaving normally, not a sync problem.
Nothing else changed
This is purely additive. No existing field was renamed, removed or recalculated, and no historical data is rewritten.
