Three new fields, Workspace Shared, AI Template Sections (JSON) and Screenshares (JSON), are now available on the Grain Recordings report.

What to do
No action required. Add the new fields to your Grain Recordings extracts to start loading them.

Grain's API provides three recording attributes that Improvado did not collect before. All three are now available as fields on the Recordings report.

The new fields

  • Workspace Shared: whether the recording is shared with the whole Grain workspace, as True or False. Grain returns it for every recording.
  • AI Template Sections (JSON): the sections of the AI notes Grain builds from your note templates, as a JSON list. Each section has a title and its content. The shape of the content depends on the section type.
  • Screenshares (JSON): the screen-sharing ranges in the recording, as a JSON list. Each range has its start and end in milliseconds from the start of the recording, and the ID of the participant who shared their screen. That ID matches the participant IDs in Participants (JSON).

Expect empty lists for some recordings

A recording without screen sharing has no screenshare ranges, and a recording without AI notes has no template sections. That is the API behaving normally, not a sync problem.

Older recordings fill in when you re-extract them

Each Recordings extraction loads the recordings from its date range. The new fields fill in for recordings loaded after you add them. To fill them for older recordings, re-extract the earlier period.

Nothing else changed

This is purely additive. No existing field was renamed or removed, and the Grain API version Improvado uses is unchanged.
