Ownership and media control

Two ownership models, two completely different buyers

Six of the eight systems buy their media from one central advertiser account. The two franchised systems buy from many, because their locations are separate legal entities: VIO's paid footprint arrives through franchisee companies including Healthy Living Ventures IV, VMS Canton PE PLLC, and Elevated Tranquility LLC, and 4Ever Young's through entities including 4Ever Young Lake Ivanhoe LLC. SkinSpirit runs 65 locations and VIO 64, so the two are the same size to within one clinic. VIO still shows roughly 4,400 active Meta ads across per-location pages; SkinSpirit shows about 120 from a single page and buys no Google at all. Same footprint, opposite buying structure, and the difference tracks who owns the locations.

Ever/Body Advanced MedAesthetic Partners acquired the brand in December 2025. Ad readings captured 2026-08-08, signed out, US. Counts are ad-library result counts, not spend or performance. Stack detection requires page-source inspection and has been run on four of these systems.

Selection and methodology

Selection: US multi-location med-spa systems with verifiable public location counts. Those counts are dated, company-reported lower bounds, tier c unless a primary filing is cited. Ownership is taken from franchise-registry filings and SEC filings where they exist, tier a. Ad readings inspect the public web layer only: Google by domain scope with the any-time filter, Meta by exact-phrase search on active US ads. Meta's default unordered keyword scope inflates a brand's count several-fold and is not used here.

Method

Method and boundaries

A dated public-source edition

The segment inherits the parent report method: location directories, sitemaps, booking paths, public web tags, ad transparency libraries, ownership announcements, and public operating-model evidence.

Private CRM history, sales calls, contacts, customer data, internal scoring, and recommendations are excluded. Technology detection means a signal was visible on a reviewed surface; it does not prove enterprise-wide deployment.

Limits of the public evidence
  • Location totals are dated, lower-bound public counts, and the dates are not level with each other. Milan's 400+ is a milestone release from August 2025 that says half its clinics opened since 2022; LaserAway's 226 is from July 2026. Eleven months separate the two largest numbers in the cohort, so the 929 total is a floor with one leg counted much later than the other. Plus signs are intentional; openings, closures, and transitions can change the denominator after publication.
  • Public budget evidence concerns different denominators: total marketing, local advertising obligations, and brand-fund contributions. These figures must not be blended into one category benchmark.
  • No defensible category-wide Google + Meta budget, CPL, CAC, consultation rate, show rate, or treatment-revenue benchmark was found in public primary evidence.
  • Public form and URL inspection cannot see every cookie, server-side event, call record, CRM field, offline conversion import, or agency reconciliation. It cannot prove an operator is unable to attribute internally.
  • The privacy section is an architecture and policy map, not legal advice or a determination that an operator is compliant or non-compliant.
  • Ad readings cover all eight tracked systems on one date, page-source stack inspection covers four of them, so stack claims are bounded to those four and composite operator scores are withheld until a reproducible rubric is published.
  • The tracked cohort is the consolidated head of a market AmSpa reports as 81% single-location, and its evidence base retains one collapsed system (Ideal Image) as a post-mortem artifact. Cohort patterns must not be projected onto the median practice.
  • Category-shift cards are stamped with the tier of their weakest load-bearing claim; supporting sub-claims carry their own tiers inline.
How sources are tiered
  • tier a
    Primary / verified

Government and court filings, regulator and platform policy pages, franchise disclosure documents, and dated first-party captures of public records such as ad transparency libraries.

  • tier b
    Industry association

Membership-organization studies such as AmSpa's State of the Industry program. Strong for structure; self-selected samples for practice-level economics.

  • tier c
    Vendor or agency self-reported

Software vendors, agencies, market forecasts, and company press releases reporting their own numbers. Directional context, never a standalone client-deck benchmark.
