Google Analytics 4 is the next generation of Analytics which collects event-based data from both websites and apps.
Setup guide
Follow our setup guide to connect Google Analytics 4 to Improvado.
- Click the Make a new Connection on the Connections page.
Categories on the Data sources page group all available platforms. Use a search to find the required one. - Click on the Google Analytics 4 tile.

- Authorize your Google account via OAuth. Before authorization, please, ensure you are signed in to the account you want to extract data from.
- Grant Improvado your permission to:

| See how your site or app data is organized, processed, and integrated with other Google products |
Note: Your Google Analytics reports may contain some sensitive information, such as performance metrics or revenue data.
- After completing the connection process, the Google Analytics 4 connection will appear in your Connected sources list.
- When the connection status is Active, and the account status column shows a number of accounts, you can move on to data extraction.

- To extract data from the connected sources, check the instruction on how to set up data extraction.

Now you can create custom extraction templates with flexible dimension settings using GA4 API configurator
