Description

‍Snapchat is a mobile messaging service from Snap Inc. that sends a photo or video to someone that lasts only up to 10 seconds before it disappears.

The schema information shows all report types you can use to extract data from Snapchat Organic.

Follow our setup guide to connect Snapchat Organic to Improvado.

‍Step 1. Click the Data Sources in the left navigation bar.
Categories on the Data sources page group all available platforms. Use a search to find the required one.

‍Step 2. Click on the Snapchat Organic tile.

Step 3. Authorize your Snapchat account via OAuth. Before authorization, please, make sure that you are signed in to the account you want to extract data from.

‍Important: Follow the step-by-step guide below to make sure that your account has sufficient permissions to use Publisher API:

Step 3.1. Enable API access for existing Story Studio Account:

1. You can use your usual Story Studio Account, or that of your partner provided they grant the relevant Snapchat username permissions.
2. Please, contact your SPM directly or raise a support ticket via Story Studio (using the account you wish to be enabled) to request we enable API access on your account(s)
3. If you do not have this feature enabled, any calls you make to our API via our WebUI or your app will fail

Step 3.2. Set correct permission for Snapchat Username in the Story Studio account:

1. The Publisher API carries all permissions from the roles within Story Studio, so the Snapchat Username used to authenticate with the API must have Editor level permissions to use all aspects of the Content API, Analyst level permissions to use the Analytics API, and Monetization level permissions to use the Revenue API in all Story Studio accounts you wish to access.
2. For example, if the Snapchat account being used with the API is a viewer only, any requests to write media, or retrieve analytics data will fail

Step 4. Grant Improvado access to your:

Step 5. After the connection process is completed successfully, the Snapchat Organic connection will appear in your Connected sources list.

‍Step 6. When the connection status is Active, and the account status column shows a number of accounts, you can move on to data extraction.
