The Pie widget visualizes how a metric is distributed across dimension values — each slice represents one category's share of the total. The use cases below show how to build and configure it.
Display a proportional breakdown of a metric split by category.
Result: The pie chart renders with colored slices, one per dimension value. The default title is Distribution Chart.
Choose which categorical field defines the slices and which numeric metric determines their size.
Result: Each slice represents one unique dimension value. Slice size reflects that value's share of the total. A legend maps slice colors to dimension names.
Adjust the inner radius to change the chart from a full pie to a donut ring of any thickness.
Result: A value around 40–50 creates a standard donut chart. Higher values produce a thinner ring. The chart must have data loaded before the visual change is noticeable.
Control which information appears on each slice — dimension name, percentage share, and raw metric value — and where labels are positioned.
Result: Labels show the dimension name, percentage, and raw value depending on which toggles are active. Outside position adds lines connecting labels to their corresponding slice.
