My Reports Template

The Trade Desk (TTD) data source in Improvado supports Standard and Custom report templates. Follow these steps to configure and extract data using the My Reports custom extraction template.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1. Log in to The Trade Desk Platform

  • Use your credentials to access your TTD account.

Step 2. Locate and Copy the Template ID

  • Navigate to the Reports section in TTD UI, find your desired report template, and copy its Template ID.

Only the CSV report format is supported for custom templates. Excel format is incompatible.

Step 3. Log in to Improvado

  • Access the Improvado platform using your account credentials, navigate to the established TTD connection, and select the My Reports template on the 2nd step of the Extraction Flow.

Step 4. Enter the TTD Template ID

  • Paste the Template ID (copied in Step 2) into the Report Template ID field in Improvado.

1. Once created, the Report Template ID cannot be edited.

2. Only the CSV report format is supported for custom templates. Excel format is incompatible.

Step 5. Select the Extraction Level

Choose one of the following extraction levels:

  • Partner Level: Extract data for the entire partner account. No additional filters are needed.
  • Advertiser Level: Extract data for specific advertisers. If selected, proceed to Step 6 to configure filters.
  • Campaign Level: Extract data for specific campaigns. If selected, proceed to Step 7 to configure filters.

Step 6. (Advertiser level only) Configure Advertiser Filters

Filter Mode:
Determines whether to include or exclude the list of Advertisers.

  • Include: Extract data only for the specified advertisers.
  • ~Enter the advertiser ID(s) in the Filter by Advertiser ID(s) field (separated by ```ENTER```).
  • Exclude: Extract data for all advertisers except the ones specified.
  • ~Advertisers are excluded based on the IDs provided in Filter by Advertiser ID(s).

If Filter by Advertiser ID(s) is empty, Improvado retrieves all available advertisers.

(Optional) Filter by Advertiser ID(s):

  • Specify single or multiple advertiser ID(s), separated by ```ENTER```. Advertiser ID(s) can be obtained from TTD UI or via the Advertisers Entity Report Type.

Step 7. (Campaign level only) Configure Campaign Filters

Filter Mode:
Determines whether to include or exclude the list of Campaigns.

  • Include: Extract data only for the specified campaigns.
  • ~Enter the campaign ID(s) in the Filter by Campaign ID(s) field (separated by ```ENTER```).
  • Exclude: Extract data for all campaigns except the ones specified.
  • ~Campaigns are excluded based on the ID(s) provided in Filter by Campaign ID(s).

If Filter by Campaign ID(s) is empty, Improvado retrieves all available campaigns under each advertiser.

(Optional) Filter by Campaign ID(s):

  • Specify single or multiple campaign ID(s), separated by ```ENTER```. Campaign ID(s) can be obtained from TTD UI or via the Campaigns Entity Report Type.

Step 8. Configure Conversion Pixel Filters

Filter by Conversion Pixel ID(s):

  • Specify single or multiple conversion pixel ID(s), separated by ```ENTER```. Conversion Pixel ID(s), labeled as ‘Conversion Type’ in both the TTD UI and the Conversion Pixels Entity report type, can be obtained from both sources.

Step 9. Select Timezone

  • Choose the timezone that aligns with your reporting requirements to adjust data offsets accordingly.

Please note that it is not possible to retrieve the list of fields included in a template before making an API request. For this reason, the My Report custom extraction template does not display a specific list of available fields.

Step 9. Wait for Data Extraction

  • Once setup is complete, Improvado will begin extracting data based on your selected parameters and report template.
