How to assign an Owner role to a workspace member
Owner Role
The Owner is the highest-level administrative role in Improvado, providing full, unrestricted access to all platform features and settings. Owners can manage every part of the workspace, from data pipelines and transformations to user administration and governance deployments.

Who is it for?
- Account Administrators managing the full Improvado instance.
- Team Leaders overseeing data operations and access.
- Agency Principals managing client workspaces and permissions.
- IT/Data Leaders responsible for governance and platform-wide controls.
Primary Use Case:
- Overseeing and administering the entire Improvado workspace end-to-end: managing all data pipelines (connections, extractions, destinations, loads, transformations), controlling user access and roles, using and sharing AI Agent outputs, and enforcing governance by managing and pushing naming convention rules to production.
Important
Because the Owner role has unrestricted access, it should be assigned sparingly. Most organizations limit this role to 1–3 trusted administrators to reduce security risk and prevent accidental changes to critical configurations.
- Click on a member's name to open the User Details panel.

- You can assign the selected user as owner by enabling the Assign as owner checkbox. Only an Owner can manage all settings of all workspaces within an agency and assign any roles to other users.

- Don’t forget to click the Save button to save your changes.
