When working with Pinterest Ads data, you might encounter metrics ending in _dollar - such as ```spend_in_dollar```. While the naming may suggest values in U.S. Dollars, these metrics are returned in the advertiser’s billing currency, as defined by Pinterest.
Reason
The "_dollar" suffix does not mean the value is in USD. According to Pinterest’s official API documentation, these fields represent currency values in the advertiser’s profile currency.
So if an advertiser is billed in COP, then ```spend_in_dollar```= 500 means 500 COP, not 500 USD.
Solution
To ensure accurate interpretation of these metrics, include the ```advertiser_currency``` field in your report. When configuring an Analytics report, explicitly include the ```advertiser_currency``` field. This field indicates which currency is applied in the advertiser’s profile.
