Improvado API - Google Spreadsheet

Description

RTB-media Report in Google Docs is an additional functional for graphic Reporting (link to demo-version and the access) developed by our company, which allows to load data by API from the desired campaign in report.rtb-media.me and conduct a detailed analysis of the dynamics of purchases with detailed divisions.

         To start you need to create a new report use "Make a copy..." from Link to template of report tool in google spreadsheet File menu. This will create a copy of spreadsheet will all required scripts. After that you just need to customize and extend the sample report as you need.

        

The main function for constructing reports:

= rtbmD2(report URL, Metric, Ad platform, Starting Date, Ending Date, Filters) - (Returns stats from RTB-Media reporting.)

o  URL to report - is URL for report like: https://report.rtb-media.me/bcf8d27a16e99ba5f90f605e46cc4cd8/

o   Metrics name. Possible values:

  • spent (or alternative values: 'spend', 'cost', 'amount spent)
  • Impres (or alternative value: 'impressions')
  • video_view (or alternative values: 'video_views', 'video')
  • click (or alternative values: 'clicks')
  • conv (or alternative values: 'conversion', 'conversions')
  • conv1 (or alternative values: 'conversion1', 'conversions1')
  • conv2 (or alternative values: 'conversion2', 'conversions2')
  • conv3 (or alternative values: 'conversion3', 'conversions3')
  • revenue

o   Product name in report (campaign)- In this cell you can specify Ad platforms/DSP’s titles or your campaign’s titles (example: Facebook, Adwords, Bing, Twitter etc)

o   Starting date

o   Ending date

o   Filters.Mark the cells or input a line of  filter names, separated by comma (you can use a capital letter or a small letter in titles) Examples (Retargeting, New Audience, Social, Search )

In these examples, we will review how this function works:

Example №1 (unfiltered)

        To start you need to create a new report use "Make a copy..." from Link to template of report tool in google spreadsheet File menu. This will create a copy of spreadsheet will all required scripts. After that you just need to customize and extend the sample report as you need.

Suppose we want a report on the weekly amount spent on Facebook within the last few months. We input a link for the certain campaign to the Reporting in the first cell,  in the second cell we specify the values we are interested in - in our case, it will be “Spent”. To get  the data report from  Facebook, we input "Facebook" into the third cell  (the name of the campaign), and in the last 2 cells l we set the time period.

Press enter and in the cell the value appears.

All parameters correspond to the parameters of our graphic Reporting  Link to demo-campaign.

Example №2 (applying filters)

If we need any particular company on Facebook, then in addition to the steps we done in the first sample, we add one more step: Specify the name of the filter by which we have to pick stats. In our case - it’s “Retargeting”.

There is Link to Example, so you can do several functions themselves.

And some standard functions:

-IFERROR(VALUE, VALUE IF ERROR) – This function is needed to avoid errors in the calculation of the CPA (if the number of conversions is 0)

-SUM(VALUE1, VALUE2)

-EDATE(START_DATE) - Returns a date a specified number of months before or after another date.

    Demo-version of Report

For your convenience, we have made a demo version of the report for the campaign “Demo Campaign 1”, that looks like Dashboard (Link):

And we have added report with any filters, so that you can understand how it works Link:

We can see that in cell B14 is a filter “Retargeting” of the campaign from graphic reporting Link to demo-campaign:

which is needed to filter the ad groups by keyword:

So it is possible to split any purchase advertising to the smallest parts and fully analyze the results.
